Summary

Harry was a farmer. He was going into army training to be a soldier. He had to follow orders. After the war, the army couldn’t get them back home, and so they got bored. One of their orders was to make a chalk kiwi on the hillside. Harry didn’t like how the army treated them. This all happened in World War One.

Character description of Oliver from the story Ursula’s Funland- The Fortune teller

Brainstorm- ( appearance, personality)

1.  Oliver has long brown hair like a horse
2. Oliver is very lean
3. Oliver’s eyes are black as the dark moonlight sky
4. Oliver is very impatient and eager when he wants an answer
5. Oliver is happy and mysterious when he explains the story of the fortune teller
6. Oliver acts courageously to save his friend Ava from the mean fortune teller. He burns her by lighting her on fire

Oliver is one of the main characters in this story-Ursula’s Funland the Fortune Teller. Oliver has long brown hair like a horse and it sways when he runs, his eyes are black like a dark, midnight sky and lastly, he is very skinny and he can fit very well through small spaces. In this particular story, Oliver got very impatient and eager when he wanted to know if the fortune teller had been moved into the park. He acts happy and mysterious while he tells his best friend about the mishap that happened with the booth. Lastly, he is courageous at the end because he burns down the evil fortune teller with a lighter to save his friend from dying.
