The task was to write a onomatopoeia poem
FIRE WORKS!!
Boom! Boom! Crack!
Then I got the fireworks box , Crinkle, Crinkle!
Screech! I freely opened the brittle matchbox drawer.
When I picked up the colossal firework a loud sound could be heard. Crumple! Crumple!
I swiped my hand and lit a match Cha- Ching!!! There it was a bright, burning flame.
I held the blazing match over the top of the firework Cccgggrrr.
I darted back and BOOM!A tiny spectacle of fire became an array of colours!

My NZ poem
As I cruise to Rangitoto Island ,
I saw sheep asleep,
As I boat along the east coast, Kauri ,pohutukawa , kowhai and rimu are growing in peace,
Tui ,Fantail, Ruru, Weka, and Takahe roam the Island
Hokey pokey was a delish,
I feel like I should like go for a swish
Here's my wild self description
Face
In front of me was a ginormous MONSTER! She had a walrus mouth with teeth that were very pointy and they were dull yellow colour. It had brown, bushy fur on the top of its teeth. It had flimsy fennec fox ears that stood out the most throughout her whole face. They had a light grey tone that looked like a elephant before it’s bath. They were long and slender. Next to the ears were angular blue eyes. On the outside were black skinny glasses which wrapped around her head. Above the glasses was rough curly hair and the colour was light brown. She had baringo giraffe horns that stuck up from the top of her head like an insect’s antennae.
Body
Underneath the walrus teeth there was a light purple t-shirt with a small rainbow in the middle. She had bony frog legs acting as arms. They were a light darkish green colour. They were positioned in a place that it was like they were doing the cha cha. She had an eastern tiger swallowtail butterfly wings which were yellow and black and had different patterns on them. I bet she can fly with those. I pondered. Behind her there were beautiful and colourful……. PEACOCK FEATHERS!!! They had a spiral full of colours such as blue , purple and green. On the outside she had long tail coverts ( the outside of a spiral) that flowed with the waves currents. Lastly she had hairy crab legs which dominantly took over her body They were brown and very, very, very, very furry. She had eight of them and whenever she moved her body would move sideways
Behaviour
Suddenly she spoke a it sounded more like a grunt trying to say ‘’hi’. It sounded like a baby pig and a cow mixed together.
Conclusion
As she casually crawled away from me, I had all kinds questions after she left. Is there many of her kind? What country is she originally from? Is she a future animal? I guess The future will tell.

The Task - Write a recount about something you did in the holidays
Rock climbing
It was a sizzling, hot summer day when we went rock climbing. We walked in and saw a buzz of active children, climbing up and down the rich walls. On the other side I saw adults climbing up and down dull walls. We signed in with our names and got suited up. ‘What a spacious place,’ I thought and started climbing. I barely heard the pop music because of the strident air conditioners. My first wall was a Yellow and Blue wavy construction and super kooky. They were all very challenging, especially this dinosaur bone one but I climbed it anyway. At the end my hands felt weird and I couldn’t even do a full fist without my hands hurting .I am super proud of my accomplishment!!!

The task-To write a setting description about a place we went to in the holidays
Whanganui Landmark
Across from the harsh, clumpy grass was a tremendously big lake. A towering landmark, pencils, made of metal and solidified wood stood tall and proud on a patch of the grass. How did they build these gigantic structures and why were they here? Lots of cars whooshed by. Across the street dogs were getting groomed and washed. Different aromas such as: petrol, ice-cream, fast food and big gigantic flowers could be smelt nearby. Waves crashed against the shore, birds sang sweet songs and kids shouted and screamed on the playground. The sound of the wind could barely be heard as it was drowned out by the noise of the boisterous children. The bothersome noise of cicadas was continuous. The trees were rustling and leaves occasionally floated to the ground. What a lively place.
