The little shoemaker
A place in France lived a small, shoe shop. Over the top hung a sign that said, ‘Le Petit Cordonnier’ meaning shoe shop in French. A large window took centre stage and showcased an array of exquisite shoewear. Inside was a mature man named Mr Botte who was short and stocky. On his face he had very small ,circular eyes surrounded by substantial, metallic, square glasses. Above his glasses, he had light brown and, thick eyebrows. Underneath the glasses was an enormous nose, it was the size of a ball pit ball. Beneath the nose he had a big, bushy moustache and it was so big that it covered his mouth. Over the top of his eyebrows, he had hair sticking up like a sharp shark tooth. His hair was a light brown colour.
Clipity clack ,clickety ,clack. A beautiful woman walked by and a pair of beautiful, red, shiny high heels caught her eye. The lady had a lovely, high, orange coloured bun. She had slender, long and brown eyebrows. She had big, cutesie eyes that were a gorgeous emerald green. She had a small smirk that turned into a ginormous smile. The lady was wearing a mustard yellow coloured dress with tiny white spots distributed throughout the dress. On the top of her dress was a vibrant neon yellow bow and in the middle of her dress was an apricot coloured belt. The gesture she used when she saw the exquisite shoes was two claps . Vrooom, vroom screech! A menacing vehicle pulled up on the bumpy concrete drive.
The small red colored door opened and a tall man with shiny, black shoes and a black tapper stepped out. He was wearing a suit but with no tie it looked like he was wearing a grey t-shirt and underneath that he was wearing a white t-shirt. His head was like a flattened ball.. He had a very skinny line of an orange beard which was very rough and two bits on each side of his face stook out.and the two lines connected to his hair which was also the same colour as his beard. It was also very rough like sandpaper. Over the top of his hair stood a black tall hat he also had white gloves that were as white a the clouds in the sky.The man had big circular eyes like the woman. He also had a surprisingly long nose . He threw his tapper up that twirled in the air and catches it,as he catches it this big enormous shop extends out from his initial vehicle. With his tapper he presses a button a and DING! freshly made top-notch shoes sit on wooden shelves the lady is impressed and runs over to the man in the van and examines the shoes if they are good enough to buy. But as that happens Mr Botte gets mad and bangs his hands on the table and the shoes that sit on display jump up as if they have just gotten scared. As she finishes examining the shoes she finally shakes her head saying no. The man is not impressed then he chucks the shoe away and the lady gasps in disbelief Ding ,Ding ,Ding ,Ding! the little man ring a bell to get attention from the woman as she turns around the stunning shoes sit on a wooden table. The woman slowly walks to the Mr Botte and his shoes. Hugo flips his tapper and Cha-Ching! 20-50 Discounts expand from his van and the lady stops halfway and runs back to Hugo. As she runs back Mr Botte’s mouth hangs jaw dropped. After that the woman eventually purchases the Hugo’s shoes.
The man feels defeated as the woman walks away. Later that evening …… he grabs his chisel hammer and fabric and spends his time creating the best and superior footwear to show to his competitor as he works away his shoes gather around him to watch him craft his shoes. He works all night until the shoes are asleep but he keeps working until the morning .A hour later….. He finishes his masterpiece it’s this brown sneaker with a design on the flap. Mr Botte smiles. The vehicle is waiting for his presence as Hugo waits mr botte sets up his display once he’s finished he stands next to it. Next the man presses the red button and the car starts to make white sneakers with red outline the colour was like a dark red rose. They had a design on the flap like Mr Botte, he is still jaw dropped.
He closes his eyes and then he’s ringing a bell with a discount sign saying -20% on shoes millions of people walk by and don’t buy his shoes then he reduces it to- 60% but still doesn’t get anything. Lastly he reduces it to - 95%. In the night he checks his money box and sees nothing. Mr Botte feels disappointed and lets out a heavy sigh.
As he sighs a paper floats through the mail slot.it gracefully floats to the ground then he sees hugo do a smug face then speedily leave as if he was never there. When he leaves Mr Botte peers over to see what flew in then he walks over and picks it up and it was a contract to sell his business . He starts to read it ,as he reads it he pauses concerned and continues while he does that the shoes wonder and try to peer at his paper. Once he’s done he looks around and is about to sign it until……. The shoes gather around him and he sees a pair of old shoes and gold paint. The next day… Hugo waits ready to be dazzled by his shoes. He gets ready and sees Mr Botte getting pushed by his shoes out the door when he’s out the slam the door shut Mr Botte carries the box and the contract to Hugo , as he grabs it he sees the contract and seems surprised with his signed contract. He grabs it. He open the box and sees his golden pair of shoes he looks shocked. He decides to try them on. Mr Botte turns around and starts walking to his shop while he walks back Hugo starts to dance and eventually drops into the splits he jumps back up and runs away as he runs away the contract slips out of his pocket. It lands in Mr Botte’s hands. He tears it and walks back.and closes the door. Vroom!! Screech!! Another vehicle pulls up and Mr Botte clenches his fists together.
